Thank you for the screenshot.

You need to install the 2023.1 Update, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

If that did not help... Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD.

As a general rule for most of our users, also consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables: some of our users, in GRAPHICSCONFIG command, also change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices to get a performance boost too.

HTH

My AutoCAD is crashing everytime my mouse rests on a block, polyline, line or whatever object and highlights it even before selecting the object. I've been dealing with this for a nearly a week now and I've settled on trying not to have my mouse rest in any object at all times. However, I can't keep dealing with crashes every 5 minutes of work.

I just freshly reset my Windows 10, and this problem occurred after this. I have deleted and reinstalled AutoCAD and it does not seem to fix my issue. Also, it's not just one .dwg problem, it's the same with anyone I open. The error prompt says the following in the details.

Date/Time: 2022-08-15 05:59:57 -03:00
Application: acad.exe
Error: CLR exception - code e0434352 (first/second chance not available)
Crashed Module Name: mscorlib.dll
Exception Address: 0x00007ffd4afa4fd9
Exception Code: e0434352
Exception Flags: 1
Exception Parameters: ffffffff80131604, 0, 0, 0, 7ffd2e6f0000
Managed Exception Type: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException
Managed Exception Address: 0x000001bc8f625538

I've searched the many forums for this error and can't seem to find a useful answer to my problem. I've just realized that the time it first says in the details is wrong, it's back 3 hours.

Hi pendean,

Sorry I didn't specify the version of autocad I am using.

Thank you pendean for the multiple answers now, but I have tried the things you mentioned in the last message and still couldn't get the issue fixed. I captured both of my mouse controllers. I have two because I am working on a laptop with an external mouse.

Additionally, I just thought that the moment AutoCAD freezes seems to be after a few miliseconds after the mouse rests on an object. I don't remember if AutoCAD shows a tooltip when you are hover over an object. If it does, then maybe the problem is there, that it cannot show the tooltip.
