Dimension line cutting through dimension text when text is dragged to middle

Hello,

I have an issue with dimension lines cutting through text. The issue is illustrated in the attached DWG file. When the space is "too small" for the text to fit between dimension lines (but it actually can fit), I drag the text to the middle of the dimension. But then, the dimension line cuts through the text. Is there a way to stop this?

Thank you! Now I have a better understanding of how the settings work.

After fixing that, there was another option I wanted to change, but I figured it out. It has to do with "Text alignment: 'Aligned with dimension line'", and "Text Placement > Vertical: 'Above'". I am still deciding on which setup to use for dimensions.
