I regularly use PUBLISH to convert multiple pages to PDF. I am printing in Monochrome. When I use PUBLISH, every line that is not horizontal or vertical comes out light gray and hard to see, which is my issue. When I use PLOT, to plot a single page, all of the lines come out black and uniform, as expected. Obviously PUBLISH is the quickest way to plot multiple pages, so I would like to utilize it. I do not want to have to plot each page individually and then combine them into one package in Adobe, as it takes too much time.

The gray washed-out line issue only occurs when using PUBLISH.

Are you using the same page setup to create the pdf when you use the Publish command?

Don't use <Default: None>

Create a page setup that uses monochrome.ctb and then use this page setup with Publish.

Or post a sample drawing so we can all take a look.

Actually, maybe I am using default none!

What I do is open a new drawing in a file that already has the page setup completed. But I just noticed that on the publish command that the page setup is default: none. I assumed that if each individual page was setup that the setting would follow over when using publish. How can I change the page setup in publish?

my only option is to "import".

this means you don't have a page setup created in the drawing and I see in your page setup screen shot window that it is set to <None>. So create and save a page setup which defines your plot parameters including monochrome.ctb then this page setup name will show up on the drop down list in the Publish window.
