AutoCAD - Profile view won't update

Hiya!

I've had this drawing sent to me and it's confusing me so much. When I move the alignment the profile view doesn't update with it- not even if I refresh it etc. I needed to make the alignment catchment area larger and I couldn't so I manually imported them. I just noticed that if I move the profile view the points on it don't come with unless I manually select them? And finally if I try to draw a new profile view from alignment it says select surface and there isn't one to select eventhough everything is turned on and the 'surface' layer is on.

Any ideas??

Which drawing? Here is no one attached.

And, do we talk about AutoCAD, or ...?

I meant 'this' as in 'the drawing I am about to talk about' not that I attached one. And yes AutoCAD - I posted on the forum for it, didn't I?
