AutoCAD - Shorten XRef Name & Xref Linetype Name in LayerP Manager?

Don't want to see the entire Xref name in front of the xref layer name when I'm looking at the Layer Manager. Anyway to change what shows up? Similar problem with linetypes for the xrefs. In my dialog any layer that has a linetype assigned to it in an xref also has the xref name in front of the linetype name.

Since an Xref name is like a Block name just Rename it to something shorter in the Reference Manager then the Layer list will show a shorter prefix before the names

Yes, I'm already keeping them short but typically like to make sure my xref names as loaded match the original xref name.... for whatever reason.

That being said I may go this route. Thanks for the suggestion.

It is always advisable to keep xref's names as short as possible and the name of the block that revers to it the same.

So I have experienced if you want to speed up your workflow.

Keep filenames as short as possible. You can use layerfilters in de layer manager that is more the way to do it.
