I am having problem with the copybase command to another drawing. I currently have a few boreholes layout which i want to transfer to a site layout drawing. When i select the objects and use copybase command with assertion point (0,0), nothing happened when i paste the borehole drawing to site layout drawing.

The other day, I also had an issue with the copy command. When I first copied and paste the object, it was fine. But when i copy and paste the second object, the first object keep appearing as paste object. In the end i had to cut and paste the second object.

Does anyone has any solution for this? Thanks. Just to let you know, I am a beginner in AUTOCAD.

Please describe your workflow when you COPY?

Do you select the object(s)=>Right click=>Copy with Base Point=>0,0

Be sure to review the command line. It displays the coordinates of your basepoint and the number of objects you have selected.

for 99% it works, but the user expected another size or didn't realize that layers are off or freezed or similar things.

1% also possible that there is a problem, but it is pointless to talk about it if there is no concrete reproducible example.

..paste old clip

very often users telling that if they trying to copy&paste Blockreferences to another file, what is explainable often.

But it can be an clipboard problem too. Computer re-start, try it again.

Hi,

I suggest to check your layers status in second drawing. maybe the objects are copied but the layer turned off or freezed?
