The "too many objects selected for intersection" message may be related to the zero-length lines in he actions/locations you are clicking on screen after activating a command like TRIM: are you saying your Tablet is instead just generating that error all by itself with no commands active?

I meticulously went through the setup for the Tablet drawing to use on the board. When I got it all done, I got "Too many objects selected for INTERSECT." for each of the 4 menu areas and Fix Screen Area. If anyone has has any ideas of what I did wrong, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

I am trying to configure the table to work with AutoCAD. Using the Tablet
command and the CFG option then going through the CONFIG for the 4 areas on
the table drawing with an area for the screen, at each process to describe
the area, (three points), then number of row and columns, I getting this
same message "Too many objects selected for intersection". Thus I can even
get the tablet to communicate with AutoCAD to ask for any commends like
TRIM. I hope this clarifies my problem.

Not sure if this video will help but this shows a Kurta digitizer being configure back in ACAD r10 Dos version.

But the process is the same on how you run the TABLET CFG command assuming you have the wintab 1.1 driver properly loaded and AutoCAD sees this under Options>System>Current Pointing Device > Wintab Compatible Digitizer ADI 4.2 - by Autodesk, Inc. You specify the 4 menu areas being very careful to select the 3 points of each menu in the order required precisely 90 degrees from point 1 (upper left) to point 2 (lower left) & precisely 0 degrees to point 3 (lower right). Then # of columns & # of rows. If that still fails, then it's time to contact Calcomp in hopes they'll provide you with some tech support...but I won't hold my breath.

Configure Kurta Digitizer:

https://www.cadtutor.net/forum/topic/69562-kurta-digitizer/ (start in timestamp 8:12)

PS: you already have the following links I provided to you via email:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Install-digitizer-s.html

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Configuring-the-Tablet-Menu-Area-AutoCAD.html

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/GTCO-CalComp-digitizer-will-not-work-with-AutoCAD.html

Well, I got the "Too many objects selected for INTERSECT" taken care of. On Page 15 of GTCO CalComp DrawingBoard VI User's Guide, there is a section on "Selecting a Pre-Programmed Setup". I Config the Board to the Default which emulates the GTCO DP5 High Resolution Binary, afterwards the "Too many objects selected for INTERSECT" error did not occur after another attempted configuring the board to work with the Tablet Drawing.

However, the selection of command action still isn't working. There are two other saved Pre-Programmed Setup. One is an emulation Summagraphics MM 1201 B, which I don't think will work with this board. The other is CalComp 2000 ASCII emulation. I am going to that board configuration next. There is also some other setups for the board, CalComp 9100-1 through CalComp-4 and a CalComp AFT. There are other recommended settings for the board, one is for AutoCAD (DOS Only) Using the ADI format or the CalComp 9100 format, but both of these are for AutoCAD (DOS only), which is the Kurta Digitizer configuration and won't work because it is for DOS, not Windows based

AutoCAD. Their Troubleshooting Chart, under the topic "Unable to use the entire tablet surface". The first Cause is: "Incorrect format selected." Second Cause is: "Software application set up incorrectly." If the latter is true, then there will be no help from CalComp, because I have had that circular discussion with them insisting that it is all on AutoCAD, not their software nor the setting up of their board.

well, after you've exhausted all your options, hopefully you can return the space hogging paper weight and get your money back...unfortunately, you can never recoup all the hours you've already spent trying to get it to work.

I think this wording for Tablets in CUI command is a good indication how much Autodesk is going to help

I wish I could remember how we used to set up tablets back in 1989-1990-1991-1992 before Windows3.1 moved us away from them: there was definitely an art to it all in the DOS days.

Yes back in the Dos days besides loading the adi driver there were dip switches in the back of the digitizer that we can try different combinations to get it to work with AutoCAD. But what made me abandon “team puck” and join “team mouse” was when AutoCAD went all Windows and many of the manufacturers like Calcomp refused to provide for free the wintab driver that’ll make it work. @fedavisg I recently wrote an article about this here:

https://issuu.com/augi/docs/aw202110hr/32?ff

Hopefully you’ll enjoy the read.
