Did send a support request directly to Autodesk and they said it was an issue with my Windows Profile. But after checking that, it seemed to be Adobe that was giving us the problem. Ended up uninstalling and reinstalling it and for now, that seems to have fixed the problem. I'll just have to wait and see if this problem ever comes back.

Hello.

I recently got a new computer and installed AutoCAD 2025 on this new computer and now I'm having a pdf issue that I used to have on my old computer that was fixed a couple of years. So this issue is nothing new, I just don't remember how I fixed it. I use the publish command to print several sheets of a 3D drawing and for some reason, I may have one or several sheets look like the image below where it's missing a section of the drawing. It took me 4 times publishing the pdf for a clean pdf file to print, but should only take one time to print a good pdf. I did a purge and audit of the drawing prior to publishing, but that did not help. Any suggestions how to fix this so when I publish to pdf that I get a pdf that shows the entire drawing on all the sheets the first time? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for my delayed response. I don't see that option in the "Publish" diaglog box shown below. Where can I find it to try and see if that works? I did uncheck the "publish in background" option (if that was what you were referring to) shown below and that didn't work. But I don't like to uncheck that because I like to keep working while it's publishing in the background.

Publish in background has problems. It's best you avoid this.

Also make sure your AutoCAD 2025 has the latest updates installed which should bring it to 2025.1.1.

To confirm your current version, at the command prompt enter About command, do a screenshot & share that here.

@paullimapa wrote:

Publish in background has problems. It's best you avoid this.

I'm going to have to strongly disagree with this as a blanket statement. I've been using background publishing since it was available as an option and have literally never had a problem with it. Plus, like ibellino4 stated, it's miles more efficient to be able to continue working while the software is publishing in the background.

So the blanket statement should be more of a "always leave it turned on unless you're having issues with it, then test it to see if it fixes the issues or not" before just telling everyone to "stay away from it".

We have had a very small number of people in our office over the years who've had issues with background publishing and wound up having to turn it off to solve the issue, but that number is a very small percentage of the users.

Glad to hear that you have not encountered any issues with background plotting. My experience has been reading all the various plotting issues that occur on these forums and since the majority of the time the fix is to disable it, my advise then is to not use this feature.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm have a support ticket out to Autodesk and hopefully they can help. I'm hoping this can be fixed without disabling the publish in background feature. I know I have been able to do it in the past with other versions of AutoCAD and different computers. With this new computer I got a month ago and the new ACAD 2025 that I recently installed on it, not sure why this issue is happening since I just have the latest of everything installed on this computer...at least that what I thought.

Since you’re on subscription and have been able to plot with background enabled then you can always install 2024 version and use that.
