it definitely happens using autocad pdf drivers. Opening pdf's created by autocad pdf drivers that has simplex font either with adobe or bluebeam, creates a ghosting effect like a shimmer on all the texts.

Im only guessing bluebeam adds the (1) as a page number but actually trying to confirm why it adds the (1), I dont know for sure. I know blue beam uses filename+layout+(page#?) as the default filename when plotting pdf. So far there are no settings on bluebeam to change this nomenclature that i can find.

In WindowsOS, a (1) is added to a file name being copied or created if that same exact name already exists at that location. Did you ever notice that?

If Bluebeam does something special beyond that, then you will have to ask BlueBeam Support right here https://support.bluebeam.com/

You might be plotting a dwg with that file name? If Bluebeam encounters an existing pdf with the desired filename, it will prompt you to overwrite the file rather than append (1) to the file name. This is the default behavior if you have Append Mode set to Overwrite in the dialog that prompts for the file name of the pdf.

the (1) is not being added because theres a file with the same name, I think it has something to do with a page number or something. I've gone to bluebeam support to see if its a bluebeam setting, but was unable to find anything. I came here to see if maybe it was an autocad thing.

No such thing for most of us that do not use Bluebeam: as a test, open a PDF from one of those drivers in your webbrowsers.

Where would that come from if I may ask? Perhaps your SSM's list of numbers have not been edited by you to remove them. Explain/elaborate.

I didn't realize you are using the Bluebeam printer driver. Use the Bluebeam plugin on the Output tab and it won't add the (1). It only uses the file name and not the layout name.
