ARC LENGTHS NOT ADDING UP

I have an arc, then a line, then an arc then a line. At the moment they are all one pline.

i click on it and it shows the length as 4.8224 in the props

then i explode it.

first arc shows 2.374 arc length,
next the line .429 long,
next arc .768 arc length,
then the next line at .025 length.

these values add up to 3.596. not 4.8224

i assume that when reporting a pline LENGTH in the properties, acad takes that length which should be as we would travel ALONG the path of the pline. and would be the value if i wanted to flatten the pline in a straight line.🤔

i gotta be missin somtin.

Hi,

If you explode the polyline, You will get 7 segments NOT 4 !!! This is why you have a different values ( 4.8224 = Fake value). Make sure that you have the exact segments in your polyline. Any changes?

These little + marks when pl selected suppose to help you to find overlapping segments...
