How to align induvial letters vertical?

How do I align letters that are separate object in a straight vertical row such as...

The vertical spaces varies between each letter.

Thank you for the response and link.

I was working with that command before I posted . I can only seem to move each letter a group along the two point line the command creates.

What I am trying to do is shift each letter from something like this...

to this...

Does the TEXTALIGN command do this and I am just not using it correctly?

@kenneth_ezzell share your actual DWG with that content in it, screenshot only shows where you got stuck but not much else.

I cannot share the drawing. Proprietary information.

But if you image putting 5 induvial created text ( five letters) onto a blank drawing how would you line them up to a vertical line.

Here's how I use TEXTALIGN

After entering that command, I enter O for Options

Then I select current Vertical

Back at select Text prompt, I select all the single Letter Text and press Enter to complete selection

At align to Point prompt, I select one of the Letter Text as the alignment point

At second point prompt is where you can move the cursor to the angle you want to align all Text selected

in your case turn ORTHO on <F8> and then point to a location straight down and click

Now all selected Text Letters are aligned vertically

Three examples in 1-minute, not seeing any challenges here, TEXT and MTEXT commands, it's not that hard to do. UNLESS you are doing something completely different that you've yet to discuss that a sample DWG file would have answered right away
