Hello,
since we've started 3D modeling at my school I've found out from task manager that AutoCAD uses only CPU. My GPU is always at 0%. Everytime I open a more complex project (that is still easy to handle) AutoCAD starts to be unusable until it completely freezes.
I've deactivated my internal CPU graphics in BIOS and updated all Nvidia drivers but it didn't solve the problem. I've also updated to a new version of AutoCad from AutoCAD2023 to AutoCAD2024 and set high performance in Windows settings.

When i tried to view graphics tuner log it was empty.

I've attached screenshot of graphics performance.
These are my specs:

-GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB GDDR6; driver version: 31.0.15.3141

-CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.70 GHz

-Windows 11

-AutoCAD2024

Thank for any help.

Jakub

Greetings @20MKacerj

May I ask why you are concerned if AutoCAD is using GPU percentage on your PC or not? "complex project" is not enough information to determine if your system freezes are caused by anything specific.

Your issues may be resolved by trying to fix your files with RECOVER or RECOVERALL commands, and/or by changing these settings,

Or something completely different like file(s) location issues, or many more possibly reasons.

Perhaps rolling back to AutoCAD 2023.1.2 is the fix.

In the screenshot, the filename in the tab is "unnamed", correct?

Normally, this "name" would be "Tuner Log."

What is the application you have associated with plain text (TXT) files?

Can you change it to Windows Notepad and see if anything changes?

Another thing to try (because it seems to cause all sorts of unexpected issues): set GFXDX12 to 0 (type it in as a command), restart AutoCAD and test again.

Yes, the filename is unnamed and I am opening it threw the Windows Notepad.

I also changed GFXDX12 to 0 (also restarted AutoCAD) as you said but it did not solve the problem.
