Paper Border vs. Print Border

I may have asked this before, but, how do I correct/prevent this from happening? Prior to my last print, where I wanted to see just the details, the white paper filled the drawing border, now it only covers what I printed. Is there a way to lock this feature?

Prepare a pagesetup for your plotting issues.

For the actual formatted print have the "Save changes to Layout" checked on. Uncheck it when doing these test plots.

and/or

Create a "Page Setup" for different plotting needs.

My initial page looks correct, with the white covering the whole drawing border. It's only when I print something that's not this, i.e. I print a section within that border, that it changes the shape/size of the white background. How do I stop this from changing, or how do I change it back to show the full border as white?

I have page setups for the plotters I most commonly use (full size D, and DWG to PDF), so it's only when printing any portion of this I should uncheck the box? This makes sense!

yes. unchecking it will not save the "area" you print.
