Hello @jdfnnl

Thank you for uploading your drawing for troubleshooting. I have opened it and I cannot replicate the 'far out' zoom level.

Zoom extents is restricted to the vertical, cyan colored line. The behavior is as expected. Did you upload the correct drawing?

I am working to create a new block but when zooming all with only one object, the screen zooms to extents much larger than the object being examined. Attached is a drawing saved from the block editor. Is there a way to have the zoom all command stay within the bounds of the subject object?

That might mean the culprit is not what you posted, but elsewhere in your DWG file.

"What is the difference between zoom all and zoom extents in AutoCAD?

If you have a small circle on the screen and you perform a Zoom Extents, AutoCAD will zoom in on the circle. AutoCAD won't care what your limits are set to in calculating the display of a Zoom Extents. Zoom All, on the other hand, will zoom out to the extents of the objects or to the limits-whichever is larger."
