both pdfs looks exactly the same like wireframe with no x-ray

x-ray typically would be shaded and see through

now instead of viewing this in a paperspace vport have you tried just in model without any viewports?

Hi, I've been using cad for a long time but recently downloaded autocad full to see if I might upgrade from the LT I've been using for a while - I have used 3D in the past. I created a steel frame and a viewport showing xray (view 1) which is great, but going back after a day I seem to have lost the ability to display the xray visual style (view 2). I did play around with renders then removed them but something seems to have changed and I can't find out what! I've checked the graphics config (turned off, back on - no difference) and rolled autocad back to install settings. Still not working. I've done the obvious things like rebooting. It was also displaying xray as shaded for a while when I came back to the file, which was after the render had been removed, but at least it is back to lines. Not sure how it did this. I would like to display as view 1 for my future clients. Is there a setting I have missed? I have tried the different visual styles but can't get it to reproduce view 1 with the faint 'xray' lines. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi, Thanks for replying. The problem is the same in mspace and pspace. I managed to use legacy hidden line instead for the two images required. I'm waiting to hear if more 3D is required before I subscribe as I also have LT for 'everyday' draughting.

Hi, Thanks for replying. I've attached the 3d model I'm having a problem with displaying as xray. Although I did manage it early on I seem to have lost the ability. I have reset the view in visual styles but it made no difference. I've attached a view of the early view I can't reproduce. I suspect the answer may lie in the graphics configuration being changed somehow. The attached shows the current settings. Thanks for any help.

P.S. This is just an 'artist's impression' of the frame as the accurate working drawings were already done in 2D only in the LT I already subscribe too, so please forgive inaccuracies.
