What element types do you plan to use in ANSYS? If you use pipe or swept elements you do not need to have a solid model from AutoCAD to start with. For the linear geometry (e.g., pipes) you might be able to salvage some info from your file. I would start by creating points at the bends of the pipes and then use those points to create 3D Polys. Try this method for one pipe and then import it into ANSYS and create your FEA model, apply constraints and loads.

Hi, i have 2D wireframe file and it seems like a converted product from 3d modeler (the wireframe is triangle and attach each other), are there any automatic way to convert it to solid again? here is i attached how the wireframe looks like, it urgent so i try to find the easiest way

Thankyou

You don’t have a frame there, but a lot of flat regions. Theoretically, you can try to convert them to solids, but you need to carefully select the right regions for each pipe. Try the ConvToSolid commands or the AVC MeshToSolid plugin. It's a hard work. But the whole model is made crookedly, that this work does not make sense. Re-modeling with conventional boxes and cylinders will be much easier, faster and more accurate.

hi thank you for the reply, so there is no other option? , I have to model
it on Ansys so, i think it has to be precise. or maybe any suggestion from
any software? because i think this model is solid but it converted to 2d
wireframe, am i right?

The model has not been converted to either a wireframe or a polygon mesh. This is the first time I see such a transformation in 3d-regions. But that doesn't make it any easier. In the model, all pipe fragments intersect, they are not joined at connection points, and the sizes are different everywhere. This is more like how renderers model in polygonal programs - everything is always crooked and intersects there. In its current state, the model has no value.

This model is of no use for serious further processing or analysis and is completely worthless. 😞
