topic Table cell references and calculations - default whole numbers? in AutoCAD Forum

I'm building an electrical panelboard drawing with tables holding the load information. From those loads I'm calculating capacity information using functions within the table. But very oddly, when referencing cells from other tables within the drawing, and the calculated sum turns out to be an integer, the data type for the calculated cell automatically seems to default to a data type of "Whole Number", even if the cells original data type was something else. This quite aggravating as the trailing zeros in the calculated value are required to display accuracy.

This does not seem to be the case if all calculations use cells that reside in the same table as the calculations. It only seems to happen when referencing cells from other tables. Any thoughts on how to address the lack of trailing zeros?
