What is the most efficient way to change a fillet radius?

Goal in this example: to change an R0.500 fillet to an R1.000 fillet.

In the first example below, I used the FILLET command to create an R0.500 fillet, then used the FILLET command to change it to an R1.000 fillet.

In the second example below, I used the FILLET command to create an R0.500 fillet, then used the PROPERTIES command to change the radius to 1.000.

What is the correct, 100% efficient way to change a fillet radius?

100% efficient - Don't create the wrong fillet in the first place. Set the radius prior to using the FILLET command to create it.

To replace an existing one, it is better to erase the current fillet first and then use the Fillet command to create the new one - what you show in the second example requires you to move/align the new fillet - more work and open to user error.

From your post, you've apparently done it both ways so you should be able to make your own determination.

Hi,

As you can see in your second attached image when you change arc radius from PROPERTIES command how it's disconnected from the existing lines. So, the most efficient way is to use Filette command with radius option to finalize your need.

The truly most efficient way is for the corner to be a Polyline, not two Lines. Then you can Fillet the edges adjacent to the old-radius arc-segment corner, with a new radius, and it will give you the changed result you want with no additional steps.

make a new fillet, that's the fastest way. As @Kent1Cooper said, works best if your object is a single polyline and not separate line/arc segments.
