Dimensions & text rotation error

Please check the attached video

While keeping dimensions

it is visible as a dot(in the place dimension text) but after a single click i.e after fixing the position dimension text will be visible.

I don't know why that dot is appearing especially when I use my own template

Please help me

This could be a graphics anomaly.

Presumably, this is something "new". What has changed recently?

Have you recently upgraded or updated anything?

Please tell us about the version you're running, updates, graphics info, etc.

Nothing updated sir

I tried to reset the autocad to default settings but this is temporary solution

Once I open old drawing file or

my template

Same issue is coming again

You might also post a sample DWG that we can use to try to replicate the issue.

@pendean the dot apprears centered near the bottom of the square, right above the command line, while the dimension itself is not visible. Dot disappears when dimension appears.

It's more than a dot actually, its a dot with an array of radial lines around it. You can see it better by downloading the video onto your machine and using a better viewer.

I think the "dot" may be related to the object that you select for the first extension line.

What is the object?

Do you get a similar effect with different objects?

Ha! that's normal and why I managed to ignore it. New to you though. You have the GEOMETRIC CENTER osnap running as part of your collection of always-stay-on osnaps, so you see that as an option

Get in the habit of only activating the osnaps you actually need ought to help you if that is an option: LISP or macro buttons are the way to go if you wish to be most productive.

That is not the issue

Please concentrate on the dimension text

May be because of the video low quality, u cannot see the dot

But the dot is in the place of dimension text

This is probably correct.

So, we will just have to take it on faith that there is a dot appearing where the dimtext would be, normally.

Can you share a DWG that contains the objects from your video? Maybe then we can duplicate your issue or discover a cause.
