problems with texts

Good afternoon, I have a problem with the texts in AutoCAD. The texts appear very large and no matter how much I change the scale, they remain just as big. When I type in a text box, sometimes the letters stick together so much that it's impossible to read them. I change the text size and it stays the same. Can anyone help me?It could be an incompatibility with my computer. My computer is an HP Victus gaming laptop. I am attaching a photo with all the details.

Could be a graphics driver problem

At command prompt enter:

GFXDX12

Thats a zero, close & restart AutoCAD

If still no good, at command prompt enter:

GRAPHICSCONFIG

Select another option under 2D Display Settings

Did you scale the drawing by changing the units?
Do you have texts in annotative style ?

If that’s the case, it’s a search track for the solution

To resolve this, try one of the following:

Check if the Graphics Card driver is updated.
Configure AutoCAD to use High Graphics Performance, if working in dual graphics card environment.
Change the 2D Display settings to Intermediate Mode or Basic Mode using the GRAPHICSCONFIG command.
Switch to a previous DirectX, by changing the GFXDX12 (System Variable) to 0.

Could you confirm whether issue is specific to particular drawing file ?
Are you using any custom fonts ?
Is font used in the drawing is set Annotative and check annotation scale.

Text height in text style

Edit the text style so that the height is zero. Then select or activate the viewport in paper space and in the Properties window, change the Annotation Scale to something other than 1:1. Use REGEN on the viewport afterward.

Wrong annotation scale

Check the annotation scales of the object, especially for the one selected in the current view, and change the scale as needed. For each affected object, follow these steps:

Select an annotative object.
Right-click in the drawing area and choose Annotative Object Scale > Add/Delete Scales.
Select any unnecessary scales and click Delete.
Select any of the necessary scales and verify at the bottom of the window if they are using the expected unit equivalence.

Insert the font into a new file:

Create a blank new drawing from the acad.dwt or acadlt.dwt template.
Use the INSERT or CLASSICINSERT command to insert the file with the bad font.
Save the new file and use it going forward.

If the default simplex.shx substitution font is damaged and is not displaying correctly, copy simplex.shx from a working system into the folders noted above. This applies even when it is not the intended font, or AutoCAD has used it to replace another.

If the font cannot be reinstalled or replaced:

Select a different font for use in the associated text styles (see How to change font styes in AutoCAD).

Verify Font Mapping Settings

Find the path to the acad.fmp file in Options > Files > Text Editor, Dictionary, and Font File Names > Font Mapping File.
Following this path, navigate to the acad.fmp file within the operating system and open it in a text editor such as Notepad.
Compare the file with acad.fmp from a working system.
Manually edit the font replacements as needed.
Alternately, copy and replace the acad.fmp file with a working file from another AutoCAD workstation.

Note: Font substitutions specified in the font-mapping file will occur even if the font specified in the text object can be found on the system. This is expected behavior.

Corrupt MTEXT Objects

Select the malfunctioning object.
Right-click and choose Mtext Edit.
Right-click the text and choose Select all.
Right-click the text and choose Remove formatting > Remove all formatting.
Reapply formatting as needed.

The font is installed, but AutoCAD is not using it

Delete and reinstall the font:
1. Open the Windows Font folder:
2. Windows 11 - Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Fonts.
3. Windows 10 - Settings Settings > Personalization > Fonts.
4. Delete the affected font.
5. Right-click the working font file and choose install from the menu.

ANNOALLVISIBLE (System Variable)

Hides or displays annotative objects that do not support the current annotation scale.

Type:	Integer
Saved in:	Drawing
Initial value:	1

Value	Description
0	Only annotative objects that support the current annotation scale are displayed
1	All annotative objects are displayed

The ANNOALLVISIBLE setting is saved individually for model space and each layout.

Note: When ANNOALLVISIBLE is set to 1, annotative objects that support more than one scale will only display one scale representation.
