Best Laptop for AutoCAD & Revit 2025

Hi i currently have a Dell precision M6800 which has served me really well but sadly its time to replace it. I use AutoCAD and Revit for small to large projects and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a replacement laptop.

There are so many options. What is your budget? I use an HP ZBook with a XEON processor, 32 Gigs of RAM and a NVIDIA RTX A2000. It works well so I'm sure the newer laptops perform a lot better.

If you like Dell, why not ask Dell Sales for a recommendation? You want to only consider what are labelled MOBILE WORKSTATIONS types for the most part

Ok thanks I've already been onto them they recommended a Dell Precision 3591 I was just looking for recommendations from other users to consider the best options.

That is very subjective, you'll get a 100 answers from the 10s of folks that reply: but since compatibility with REVIT is way more important than old AutoCAD (unless you rarely use it), you are also in the wrong forum if you truly are concerned about squeezing the best out of REVIT (AutoCAD will just follow along).

AutoCAD tends to have more restrictive graphics requirements since it takes advantage of DirectX 12 so you may want to check to make sure the computer you purchase has a graphics card that’s certified by Autodesk
