Hello all,

This has to be the craziest thing to try and get help for but for the life of me I cant find the answer or remember how to fix this. I am creating a simple Annotative multileader and there is a break on the spline separating the multileader head from the spline. My head is a user arrow from a created block. I have attached images of the settings for reference. Please tell me what am I doing wrong. Its been years since I went to school for this and nothing online seems to talk specifically about this particular issue Im having.

Your Block needs to be defined to be one drawing unit long when at a scale factor of 1:

I REFEDITed it to be that size, and the leader changed:

Ok so thats weird because when I compared it to another one that was provided to me, the block head was the same as far as not to 1 unit size. I have attached a new copy of the multileader file so you can see the difference between the 2. you'll notice though that one has the block head attached to the line.

Here are the two Blocks, both Inserted independent of a Leader and of being affected by a MultiLeader Style definition, and both at a scale factor of 1:

Theirs is, in fact, 1 drawing unit long in its native definition. That one drawing unit, as affected by the MLeader Style's arrow size and the annotation scale, is what determines the arrowhead end of the Leader tail -- it won't touch if the arrowhead's "shaft" element is shorter than one drawing unit in the un-scaled Block definition.

Ok Im too dumb to comprehend lol. So what you are saying is if I create this block head in model space, on a scale 1:1, to be 1" or 1.0 long, make the block, then bring it into my drawing package to create the annotative multileader it will fix the problem?

Try in your origin CAD dwg to scale up your custom block (Conduit-stub) 8 times and it will fix when you make a new mleader.

Yes. You may choose to change the arrow size in your MLeader Style definition, but the arrow Block needs to be one drawing unit long.

The tails on all of AutoCAD's arrow options that have tails are 1 unit long from their insertion points -- here are a few:

You don't need to do it externally, but can just REFEDIT or BEDIT the Block definition within a drawing. But having it correct as a separate file will be better for use in other drawings.

Sweet, I just did exactly that externally and it finally worked for me. Not sure why I was assuming when i exploded theirs to compare it was showing a smaller leader head which is why I was confused as to the 1 unit size requirement. Thanks again for helping me wit this. I can create really good dynamic blocks but this tripped me up 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
