    <description>&lt;P&gt;The fix has already been reported here, but to answer your question on how it happened, it is most likely a bug in AutoCAD.&amp;nbsp; It &lt;EM&gt;could&lt;/EM&gt; be an issue with a custom LISP, if you use those, but our LISPs do not have any trouble and this glitch still pops up from time to time.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would suggest entering SYSVARMONITOR at the command line and setting a watch for FILEDIA to see when it gets changed.&amp;nbsp; It should alert you if it's changed and then you can maybe get an idea of what caused it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="System Variable Monitor.png" style="width: 600px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/1217687i0FF9CB854763672B/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="System Variable Monitor.png" alt="System Variable Monitor.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>open command does not give me a window</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;in addition to the other's answers you can also at this point hit the ~ key &amp;amp; then Enter key on the keyboard to bring up the window.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
