Transparent zooms not working acad 2022

Hi,
I'm trying to do a transparent zoom while in a command such as pline. I start the pline, then want to zoom to a new area, so I enter 'z then d (for a transparent dynamic zoom). This does not work. All I get is this:

I cannot get it to go into dynamic mode for zooming.

Also, if I use a transpartent pan while in a command, I dont' get the first little hand or palm symbol for panning, just have to guess, but I can pan.

This is the student version of acad 2022. I'm not sure if it's my graphics card, so if anybody inquires, it's a rtx 2080 super.

Hi,

please make sure you have installed AutoCAD update 2022.1.1 ... this solved this known issue.

Thank you for your reply.

I am using the student version of the software (version S.51.0.0), not sure if that makes a difference for updating?

No, it's the same software, so please install the update and transparent commands will work fine then...

awww yisss! This did the trick. Thank you! I didn't realize there was an update so soon. I just installed it last week.

The installation media is the same as day one of AutoCAD 2022. Autodesk does not change the base installation files, so please always search for updates after installing a new product/release.

Are AutoCAD updates automatically downloaded and installed if the computer is connected to internet?

Or, it has to be done manually?

Is this update still available for download?

No, never.

If you cannot find the update you need from your Autodesk Accounts Page then you'll have to try a web search for a 3rd party host of the update to download and install.

One more question please: If we download AutoCAD, say, six months after its launch, do we get the initial-release version, or does it contain all the updates till date? (so that we do not need to update it immediately)

Autodesk currently includes the updates if the download is performed after the update release.
