Rectangles with Extension Snap

Hi there

I'm trying to get the "extension" dimension to be the default for the Rectangle command.

So, for example when I draw a Rectangle, after selecting the base point, I want to be able to enter a dimension FROM an extension point. Like drawing a 600mm cupboard "extending" from a wall.

Image below shows which dimension prompt I would like to be the default selected.

I use AutoCAD 2022. Used to be able to do this on 2018, not sure if the option has been nuked.

Hi,

EXTension is one of object snap modes. You can by OSNAP command get snap modes and select them as needed.

I have the Extension snap and OSNAPs turned on

I've also tried adjusting the Dynamic Input settings, but the changes only seem to apply to lines.

Rectangles are the only shape that do not default to the Extension snap.

Would "exporting" settings from another PC be a good idea?
