Not sure what caused the original problem. I'm not using Civil 3D but just vanilla AutoCAD to resolve the issue.

I Bedit the block with the attributes:

1. Deleted the problem dwg title attribute

2. Copied the Dwg No attribute to the location of the dwg title location

3. Edited the copy's tag, prompt & value

4. Changed the copy to be multi-line

5. saved & closed block editor

6. Battman to sync the block

Now the dwg title appears in the correct position

Hi,

bit of a strange one, hopefully someone has though on where im going wrong.

Im setting up a title block with attributes. All was going well until i tried putting a multiline attribute in for the drawing title. it goes in looking correct in block editor but when i save and close block editor and attsync the block, the multi line attribute displays in the incorrect position (a bit off the side and significantly below). weirdly, if i explode the block the multiline att goes back to where it is supposed to be.

this is how it looks in block editor (dwg title is multiline att, dwg no and rev are single line att)

then i close save and attsync and it looks like this

and then i explode and it goes back where it should be like this

any one got any thoughts whats going on here?

Hi,

can you please:

start command _ABOUT and show us a screenshot from this dialog

upload the dwg with this block, only this gives us the option to test the behavior on our systems

Thanks so much Paul, I was adding the multi line one from a fresh add attribute dialog so maybe thats where the problem happened. thanks for getting it working, will do multiline ones by copying working single line atts from now on I think.

cheers
