autoCAD 2019 Hatch pattern

I got new Desktop with windows 11. I bought 2019 version because of one time payment.

I tried to open the hatch pattern and it will not open. Can any body tell me how to activate the hatch patterns in 2019 version.

What does "open the hatch pattern" and "activate the hatch patterns" mean to all of us way over here please @apanbasu

Are you referring to acad.pat file which is a text file that can be opened with Notepad?

Or are you referring to HATCH command entered within AutoCAD?

I am, trying to open Hatch pattern in AutoCAD. I was trying to add Hatch to a detail and it will not open. I was in 32 bit machine for more than 30 years. Now I am in a 64 bit machine. I am not sure this has anything to do with the problem I am having. I searched for pat folder but did not find the folder. Autodesk will not help me. This forum is my last resort.

Does this problem occur on all dwgs or just this particular one?

What is the name of the hatch pattern you would like to add?

Do a screenshot with mouse pointing to location you want to add hatch and share your dwg file here

There would not typically be a folder dedicated to Hatch patterns specifically, but those files would be in some support folder, which needs to be in the list of Support File Search Path locations. If this is about a standard AutoCAD pattern, try this at the command line:

(findfile "acad.pat")

(findfile "acadiso.pat")

or, if a custom pattern file,

(findfile "YourFileName.pat")

which will tell you where that file is, if it is in a location where AutoCAD knows to look. If it returns nil, but you know the file does exist on the computer, then its location needs to be added: OPTIONS dialog box, Files tab, Support file search path list.

Ah, so you forgot to

1) move your custom hatches from your old computer to the new computer

2) and/or forgot to pre-add that folder to the AutoCAD's FOLDER SEARCH PATHs so that HATCH command's CUSTOM option can find and use your personal hatches.

Which of those is it? Or is it all-the-above?

I was not trying to open a custom Hatch pattern. My old 2018 -32 version had many standard hatch patterns. I am trying to open the pallet to use one of them.

now enter Hatch command

Is this the dialog box you’re used to seeing to select hatch patterns

If by "pallet" you're referring to this:

see the first prompt in the HATCH command, which includes a seTtings option that will give you that. Or, there's the ribbon:
