Graphic menus no longer work only text commands?

I opened a drawing via Solidworks and converted to a dwg but once that happened, my menus in AutoCAD 2007 stopped popping up. For example now when I click File - Open - the dialog box asks for the file name. Before I had a typical windows graphic box so you can browse files and pick the one you want.

Any ideas on how to correct this?
