Border / Title Block Centering on Layout

I was wondering what would be considered the best practice for creating a sheet border (title block) on a paperspace layout. I plan to print using "layout" in the page setup dialog box. Once I set the printer and paper size for the page setup, I create a viewport using the "fit" option. This centers a viewport on the page which I use to center my sheet border. The reason I do this is because the origin of paperspace is at the lower left corner of the printable area of the sheet and not at the corner of the sheet and that makes it difficult to align the sheet border. I don't want to have to look up the exact printer margins and do unnecessary calcuations to find a starting point for the rectangle I want to draw.

I'm interested to know how others go about this process. I appreciate anyones thoughts on this topic.

0,0 location in Paperspace is the corner of the paper for all intents and purposes: no printer drops ink at that location.
So your titleblock can't start there, and neither can your viewport.
You have to know what your printer margins are, either through testing or reading the user'a up of that device.

Once you set up this layout, it becomes a template you will always use so you never ever have to recreate it from scratch again.

AutoCAD requires pre-planning to use in an automated/quick fashion. No easy way around it.

All of these solutions seemed to be irrelevant to me. My 0,0 coordinate was the bottom left corner of the dashed line rectangle, or the printable area, whichever you prefer. I tried to find a way to locate or snap the sheet edge first, to no avail. Then, I tried to use the align command, which just overcomplicated things.

Finally, I just used the MV command to solve this issue.

First, start the command, then simply press Enter each time it prompts you to locate the coordinates of each viewport corner.

This will, by default, insert a viewport into the entire printable area, and if your scenario is like mine, this is shown as a dashed-line rectangle centered on the layout sheet.

You can now use object snap and geometry by selecting points on the viewport border, which has the exact location and dimensions of the printable area.

I know there is more than one solution to this issue, but the other solutions, while feasible and possibly better, just seemed far more complicated than necessary.

I set up 1:1 and have a predrawn template drawing frame which has margins set up.

I have in the bottom left a marker that shows me the corner of the paper which is on a non printing layer.

I then paste at location 0,0 or after pasting then move and after selecting the bottom left corner just type in 0,0 or 0,0,0

I then size the viewport to fit inside my drawing frame
