      <title>Converting a Polyline 3D object to Solid</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I created a 3D object (dimensions are measured from an existing object) using polylines, and tried to convert it to solid. All lines are joined with no gaps, the planes are not perpendicular.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried to make a solid using the loft command using different methods (side to side, top to bottom, front to back, reversing directions, etc., tried it in both Autocad 3D and Inventor), boundary, surfsculpt commands, etc., but the best result I could get has vertical left and right sides, instead of aligning along the sideway diagonal (as in reality) - best seen in top-front or sideways view. I hope the description is clear, the file with the object is attached, thanks for any help.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The solution is pretty easy (in AutoCAD or in Inventor), but first thing I would do is set up some layers so you can turn off visibility of certain "wires" in your wireframe to make selection easier.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Back in a while with a solution if someone does not post step-by-step.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;(Tip:&amp;nbsp;Forget all the easy sides for now - if you can't do the "hard" sides, you won't be able to solve the problem.)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Find the red End of Part marker in the browser.&lt;BR /&gt;(End of Folded on sheet metal parts EOF)&lt;BR /&gt;Drag the red EOP to the top of the browser hiding all features.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Save the file with the EOP in a rolled up state.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Right click on the file name and select Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Attach the resulting *.zip file here.&lt;BR /&gt;The first thing I did was set up some color coded layers - while not strictly necessary - I think this helps beginners (and advanced) users.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I don't know how it happened - but my instructions somehow got replaced by instructions for reducing file size in Inventor responding to a different thread.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Not sure when and how that happened.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Anyone coming along and reading this thread is going to be really confused.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
