Print screen key function

I am trying to capture specific views of commands in Autodesk, AutoCAD 2024 for a power point. My issue is that some of the commands are in the drop down boxes and I need to get a screen shot of it. I can't use the snip and sketch app because as soon as I pick it, my view of the drop down box will disappear. I tried to use the "prt sc" key or "crtl+prt sc" but the mouse icon turns into a magnifying glass. Any suggestions?

Update: I am using a desktop with Windows 10 Pro.

What are you using... Desktop, Laptop, Phone, ect...?

Desktop: Ctrl + PrtScr

Laptop: Ctrl + Fn + End/PrtScr

@tgreenGT6UC You need to pick up a 3rd party screen capture tool like GADWIN PRINTSCREEN (there is a free option) or many dozens of others out there: use a Google Search to find one that works for you .

The "CNTL+PRT SC" works occasionally but more often the not, I get some type of magnifying glass with a vertical and horizonal line attached it.

Use Alt-PrtScn to do a screen capture of the current active app and its pane then use Ctrl-V to paste it into Paint (or some other app) and crop as desired. Alt-PrtScn will not close any active pull-down menus. Here's an example.

@paullimapa I did not notice the Delay feature in the snipping tool. Nice.

Yep I use that feature so much that I wish there was an option to put in a user setting for the delay

It also allows me to capture the orange arrow that definitely disappears with I do any other type of screen shot.

For those using the newer "Snip & Sketch" tool, it does it differently:

Fewer choices of delay time, but the longest is twice as long as the older "Snipping Tool" offers.
