topic Cannot draw features unless drawn over existing features in AutoCAD Forum

Hi I have a problem when I go draw for example a line I select draw a line, click on the screen and it appears as it normally would except I cannot see the line and no line is displayed once I actually click to finish the line. However if I draw over existing features it will snap to certain features and draw the line just not to exactly where my cursor is. This is the same for circle, rectangle etc.

-All layers are on and thawed

-I've tried DRAGMODE on/off and automatic all same results

-I've checked display setting, it all looks okay

-I've been using Civil 3D and tried on AutoCAD 2015 both same results. I've connected remotely to a different computer thinking it was a graphics card issue, same results. I've check my computer and the graphics card is fine anyways, since I've been doing drawings for a long time no problem previously to this issue.

The file I'm working with is a microstation .dgn file I've imported to a .dwg. All other .dgn files I've done this with have worked fine until this one and a few other ones I have tried have been giving the same problem. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

*The file I'm working with is too large to be attached

Can't you simply delete everything except one line?

You could also upload to your A360 drive and give url here.

Since you have checked your layers - the first thing I would check is your current UCS.

Might also check current Color.

Probably wrong UCS setting.

Type in PLAN or

Type in UCS, use W

Then PLAN, use C
