topic Re: Hyperlinks in PDFs in AutoCAD Forum

I already knew how to make an hyperlink but thanks to show it just in case.

The thing is that the problem seems to be the type of hyperlink that Autocad produces automatically when it generates the PDF file. When I look at the hyperlink property in Acrobat, the action associated with this hyperlink is "Open a web link" when it should be "Open a file". Because of that, Acrobat opens Internet Explorer and tries to open a .dwg file, which of course fails. When I manually make another hyperlink within Acrobat and chose "Open a file" as the action I wish for an hyperlink, then it works perfectly. I would assume that AutoCAD would do so automatically but it don't and I can't take the time to "reprogram" each action type after publishing a CAD drawing. I don't believe that it depends on the operating system settings. I was looking for a way to change this type of action in AutoCAD so that Acrobat, or any other PDF viewer would know what to do.

Thanks for you reply.
