I may have made it unnecessarily difficult by including the QuickCalc portion. You should be able to just copy the X value of the line from the properties palette, then paste it into the properties for the Text objects, or skip copy/paste entirely and just type it into the Text's properties manually.

Also, based on your screenshot, you may also need to change some of the other text properties while you're in the Properties Palette to get them perfectly left aligned with each other.

If you have any difficulty, just attach a sample drawing containing a few of the texts so we can consider all the settings that might affect the result.

Good Afternoon. I am "cleaning up" a bunch of old drawings that I have converted form DGN (Microstation) to DWG (AutoCAD 2014). Part of the clean up is to re-align the single-line text that became scrambled a bit during the conversion. I have been unsuccessful thusfar in finding a command that would allow me to highlight multiple text objects and align them vertically to a reference line. Instead I am having to grab each on individually and place them on the reference line I've drawn... Any help Please!!!

Thank you

David

There may be a lisp to make this more efficient, but you can do it using just the Properties Palette. Obtain the X coordinate where you want to move them to, then SELECT (or QSelect) all the texts you want to move to that vertical alignment and use the Properties Palette to assign that X coordinate.

2015 has a very nice tool for this TEXTALIGN.

Thank you for the response! I know this would work IF it would allow me to paste the referenced Position X coordinates in the text properties. For some reason I am not able to do that, even when I open the "QuickCalc" window it doesn't allow me to change it!

Aha!! It was due to the justification being set to MIDDLE CENTER... Once I changed it to LEFT I was able to make the changes I needed and it worked perfectly!!!

Thank you so very much!!!!

David
