CONVERT 3D POLYLINE TO SURFACE

new to autocad but once I have started my project now and trying to add features, etc. nothing works as the tutorials because they are start wiith basic lines, solids, etc.

I have a polyline that I need to convert to a surface. when I click on the line. the command says "one object found". then I hit enter and nothing happens. this is very frustrating.

I am attaching my file because I think there is someting wrong with it but tutorials don't explain all of the different things that could go wrong.

any help would be great.

There are 5 overlapped lines so you can't make surface out of it.

To fix it, EXPLODE, then OVERKILL, then PEDIT and rejoin the lines to polyline.

Now you can CONVTOSURFACE.
