hey there...
first of all, thanks for your answer!
The thing is, a don't get any error messages. I have the exactly same software on another machine, and it works just fine.
I've tried to change the destiny folder when saving (it saves on the company server by default), thinking it might have something to do with the permissions of the machine, but no such luck.
It just crashes most of the time...
Some even suggested that it might be related to user's action (it's not on my machine, it's a colleague's), but it crashes qhen he's using, when I'm using, even when other people are using...
You're not really providing much information for remote assistance... .

What is your Windows OS? Where are you trying to save files to? Are you logged into Windows as a full administrator? Did you by change invoke any "migration" process form 2014 or from 2016 installed on another PC?
If the problem persisted in 2014, when exactly did that start and what had changed on your PC or network at about the same time?

Have you seen this Autodesk topic, it may help http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/objectarx/autocad-crashes-when-saving-drawing-file/

I can understand that it is frustrating, but on the other side don't estimate to get it repaired as long as Autodesk does not know how to reproduce it.

For developer it's simetimes "ah, that click" ... to be able to reproduce the issue and then it's just a few minutes to repair it. As long as they don't know where to search (especially when crashes depend on drivers, drawings, apps/plugins, ...) it might be a never ending story (because not to find).

Then if the file's source is always that "third party" check the consistence of the file, maybe something in the file the source of your crashes.

What software (exactly name and service pack) did this "third party" use, what version exactly do you use? Especially when there are verticals like Architecture, MEP, Civil3D, ... it might be important to know.

Looks like you are receiving DWG files created from other applications than AutoCAD. No fix. But...

- Can you XREF them without crashing?
- Can you INSERT then EXPLODE them into your template files and have not not crash?
- Can you share a file that crashes here for us to test? We all have 2016 too and it's rare that it crashes for us from external client files.
