topic Converting Chief Architect dimensions into a default dimension style, methods for importing and using these defaults in Autocadd to have the same precision in AutoCAD Forum

I have used my Chief Architect plan files here, and have imported these sets of plans into my Autocadd correctly. But, here’s the problem;

I need to figure out how to match all of my dimensions to a template, that was created for me to use, by the Architects. So far, these dimensions on the converted Chief file, are now off by an 1/8th of an inch, or thereabouts.

(Example; the dimension should read 22’-6”, and my imported dwg file from Chief reads 22’-5 7/8”.)

how do I change this globally, so that all of the dimensions and dim styles will match up to the precision, that they are looking for here?

This is scary. If dimensions are off that could mean actual measurements are all off as well. I would not work off inaccurate digital files

Bad export? Or you need to set DIMLFAC to 1/4 to mask the inaccuracies of the drawn element.

did you double-check those distances with DIST command?
