topic AutoCAD LT Second Run Errors in AutoCAD Forum

This problem has been plaguing me since AutoCAD LT 2014. It has persisted through 2015 and now my 2016 installation.

When I first start my computer, as soon as Windows 7 (64 bit) starts after I log in, I must immediately open AutoCAD LT. If I don't do it within about 10 minutes, I'll get an AutoCAD Error Aborting message after I try to launch LT. This also happens if I close LT and try to open it again later in the work day. Basically, when it gives me the error, it steps through the Windows Configuration windows as if it's the first time I've ever opened the software (which it isn't).

It has just become pretty annoying when I need to restart my whole computer just so I can run LT. I have had two service cases with Autodesk to try and fix this problem, but they only work temporarily and the problem returns after a restart. Thos cas numbers were 09126941 and 09226678. I think it was determined that the problem was coming from other third party software on my computer. Possibly something to do with a profile manager since I'm on the company network.

I've attached a few pictures of the process that happens when I try to open LT on the second run. The picture numbers should be in order. So the last message I see is the "error aborting" window.

Any help and insight on how to solve this problem would be great! Thanks!

---

Phil Lopresto
