https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/annotative-dimension-s-distance-from-object-autocad-2015/m-p/5629531#M328803 <P>Is there a way to program the annotative dimension style to automatically change the distance from the object that is being dimensioned when changing the drafting scale? &nbsp;For example, if we dimension our drawing at 1:10, the dimensions are automatically located a set distance from the walls. &nbsp;However, if we decide to change the scale, as the text gets bigger, it does not automatically scale the distance to the wall, and eventually the text ends up overlapping&nbsp;the wall. &nbsp;We would like to set it up so that the dimension text will automatically "move" farther from the wall as the text size becomes bigger. &nbsp;I included two jpg's showing a 1:10 scale and a 1:40 scale to exagerate the problem&nbsp;for clarity.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! &nbsp;Many thanks.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>*Using AutoCAD 2015</P> Mon, 11 May 2015 13:10:44 GMT Anonymous 2015-05-11T13:10:44Z
