As the title says, whenever I try to hatch I get the following error code:

"C:\users\xxxxxxxxx\appdata\roaming\autodesk\autocad 2025\r25.0\enu\support\acad.pat"

The most recent update has really screwed my program up. From random crashed with no backup created to now this...

Things I've checked and done:

1. The support file points to the correct path.

2. The path referred to in 1 is populated with all the correct hatch information

3. I've established the support path but same issue occurs

(I removed my name from the file location and replaced with a series of X's)

Sorry, that's all I was able to snag before it just closed on me. Something about the directory not being there or broken and I can't recreate the issu because I can't load the dwg anymore (stuck in loading loop).

best have your IT staff or whoever that have admin rights look at your setup. Maybe the 2025.1.1 update did not complete properly. Or have them try a Reset on 2025

How to reset AutoCAD to defaults

Word, I'll try it but this is getting the point of incredulity. Every update acad has pushed since I started in this career little over a year ago has broken something to the point I have to roll back to a previous update. Since this is a paid service, I'd expect way better than this. I posted a jpeg with all the tasks resulting in crashes with the current rollout and it's quite literally everything I use acad for and #*$(ing MORE.

Unsure if this is the message that I had received during the last episode of this saga but it's what populating now...

"all of the possible directories for storing temporary files either do not exist or are readonly. Please correct this situation before running autocad again."

I updated this last Friday and had no issues until I logged in this morning and started working my projects. Worth noting that the project I was working on this morning was the same one I was working Friday, same dwg. I tried to pivot to another project to gain headway, went to batchplot and Acad just keeps crashing saying the plotting devices are not installed or recognized by the system (they're installed and I can see them). I mention this as it might have bearing on the topic currently being discussed.

After going through every detail of my IT profile providing permissions for everything I could be given permissions for the problem still persisted. Only after I preformed a full uninstall and reinstall did the issue resolve. I suspect the 1.1.2025 update broke my directories chain in some fashion.

I'm going to mark this as the solution unless anyone has anything else..

Worth noting that the newest version of autocad on their website includes the 1.1.2025 update natively and while the original issue has been resolved I now am having an issue with freezing and crashing during plotting process.

you had replied in above thread that you had installed the most recent version:

So with this reinstall, why would you not have your IT do the same? 2025.1.1 is the most recent version which resolves bugs introduced in the original 2025 release.

I'm not sure what I would have my IT folks do?

Maybe you hadn't seen the post yet but I had them review, reset, and provide appropriate permission (none I hadn't already possessed)??

-They're insistent it has to be an autocad issue as the entire team has reviewed this and nothing they can think of worked to alleviate the issue.

-In an effort to cross all "t's" and dot all "i's" we had reset every function/permission I would have access to server side and user side.

-I'm not having any issue with any other device under my profile and can use Acad '25 with minimal issue on my laptop and touchpad.

I'm not entirely convinced that the 1.1.2025 fixed all the issues. When I had install the '25 update it broke my program then too, troubleshooting helped, but it took a day or so before I was screaming through projects again.
