topic AutoCAD certification - worth doing? in AutoCAD Forum

Hi all, I was wondering what everyone’s experience / opinion is on perusing AutoCAD certification.

My background is in Civil Engineering however in the last few years my career has been focused more on the technician side with my day to day tasks involving AutoCAD and Mapinfo. I am also planning on moving to Canada for a year in July and was hoping to pick up 3-6 months CAD technician jobs. (I have tried getting short term Civil Engineering jobs before but they are a lot harder to find).

Will getting CAD certified help me find work in a overseas market place? If people have done it before how did they find the experience? Was it beneficial?

Thanks
