Hi,

to question 1:

You have to add at least two references acdbmgd.dll and acmgd.dll, on newer releases of AutoCAD also accoremgd.dll.

to question 2:

I don't know MATLAB, on their site it seems to have a development API, so it's up to you to get them together.

Just to mention: there is a specific forum for development AutoCAD based on dotNET >>>there<<<.

Good luck, - alfred -

I am pretty new to both AutoCAD and C# programming. However, my work nature requires me to develop an AutoCAD plugin using visual C# for the purpose of AutoCAD customization.

Question 1

The customisation is as follows:

The plug-in would accept radius and a (x,y) coordinate of the point in the circle from the user, then the output would be a circle drawn on the AutoCAD as well as the output of the coordinates of the radius.

I have found a few related codes online. However, when I typed(copied) in my visual C# window

using Autodesk.AutoCAD.Runtime;

or

using AutoCAD;

I get the error message which states 'the type or namespace name AutoCAD could not be found'.

Could anyone help me what I should do and how to overcome this?

Question 2

Though I know this question might seem pretty strange, I would like to know if the aforementioned AutoCAD customization can be done with MATLAB as I am a pretty seasoned user of MATLAB?

Could any kind soul suggest me how I should get started about doing this in the simplest way as I am overhwhlemed by the innumerbale information available online? I have also atatched a screenshot of my visual C# window.

Thanks.
