Toolbars are missing

@bustr - the title of this post has been edited due to Community Rules & Etiquette violation.

One slip of the cursor and I see this drafting and annotation ribbon. All of my toolbars are gone. How do I restore the workspace I worked so hard to build?

Thanks. This doesn't help though. If autocad can mess things up with one click then they need to come up with a fix that doesn't involve the user doing any research.

Nobody knows WHAT you customised, nobody know where(how) you customised

so nobosy know what you expectd.

If you worked a lot on this, you should had to learn more about the workspaces, profiles & cuix files,

what include import/export and so - backup & restore.

Yes, it is possible to change all this back, but not in each case.

- Are you talking about Workspace, perhaps the only one you have to do is: Set your wanted Workspace current,

if you saved this one..

Are you talking about editing standard-cuix files (rarely a good idea) ?

- Start CUI command again, rightClick on the m,ain cuix (if you are talking about), RESTORE

Apparently it was an accidental click on this that caused the problem though it has happened several times when I was typing. I can't see undo the damage other than a lot of time consuming clicks to re-open and rearrange the toolbars. I should not have to do this.

After you have "worked so hard to build" a workspace I hope you saved it:

Later you can restore this workspace each time you need it by selcting it from the list above.

It is your fail if you changed the current temporary workspaces without to save them.

You should: Work with named workspaces

1. After you edited the workspace, save it, Command: WSSAVE

2. If the main cuix is the standard cuix (acad.cuix),

you should Export/Save this .cuix as well (this is where the named cuix stored)

Time to time you should EXPORT all stuff (this incl. also the acad.cuix and is the best way to save near to all program stuff)

Did you overwrite the original "Drafting&..." workspace, or did you used your own Workspace(name)?

You can try to restore the main cuix, start command CUI and... as I wrote above.

With all of the useless changes that autocad has made over the past two decades did it never occur to them to have a "RESTORE PREVIOUS WORKSPACE" option?

Should only take you a few minutes.

Right click on an empty space (Yellow arrow/circle) then in AutoCAD, select your desired options.

Then save your workspace and consider saving it as a Profile.

How am I supposed to know? You have to ask the manufacturer about that.

BTW: I think that even if the function would be added,
it wouldn't help you - because this function would only only try to set "the last name Workspace" current,

but if the workspace is missing..

The responsibility is all on you. If you are going to create a customized workspace, YOU need to know how to save it and restore it. AutoCAD can't read you mind.
