A solution is to use App Manager to Unload the other apps (Featured Apps), and finally unload App Manager itself. Most bundles can also be uninstalled from Windows Settings > Apps.

Pinging an old post, but this is where Google sent me in 2025. This issue has been bothering me for a while after each new AutoCAD release it's a struggle to setup a Zen profile.

If you are here, you've likely noticed that demandload is ignored for the stuff that appears in the Add-ins tab. Clearing the 0x02 (always load 2-bit) LOADCTRLS is mostly ignored too. As mentioned above, its the .bundles appearing in the known ApplicationPlugins folders that are always loading. These can affect multiple versions of AutoCAD. They elbow their way into support path and the ribbon. No matter how many time you reset in CUI or clear the support path, Here's Johnny.

How to disable Appmanager menu loading

This was asked before, but the answer was to uninstal stuff.

I want to prevent these menus from loading:

APPMANAGER

FEATUREDAPPS

SKETCHUPIMPORTSKP

BIM360

I have tried to stay up with the loading mechanisms of autocad, but cannot seem to run down what is partial loading those menus.

Is autocad hard coded to see if they are installed and load their menus?

I'm not saying I want to delete them, far from it.

I commonly run OOTB profiles where I want acad loading all bells and whistles.

I want to know how to disable the loading, maybe by renaming a dll that loads things.

thanks

The other post noted to use CUIUNLOAD if you want to unload them without uninstalling them. They load because they got installed with or after AutoCAD: as do all add-on from the Autodesk Exchange site and other 3rd party tools.

1) command CUILOAD and remove the unwanted. CUIUNLOAD is the same.
2) command OPTIONS, tab to "Files", expand "Support File Search Path" and remove
the unwanted paths. These paths reference Bundles that will reload if the path is
present and the bundle has been unloaded. Annoying, isn't it?

There is also a MSI out here somewhere called InfocenterOff that will also make
the 360 area disappear. It works here on 2014.

???

where are the bundles?

That is what I want to target, probably by renaming the files.

I found appmanager in common tools, but not the loading mechanism.

I looked a lot, but maybe need to review how to make the loaders to find them via Kean's Blog...

ah, you are on the right track, but I think the stuff in x86 is old.

The .bundle folders I found for 2015 are here:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\

so I will try renaming to see if that disables them.

Your reply was just what I needed though, thanks!

It looks like the 2016 version here on my machine, and the date corresponds to when I installed AutoCAD 2016. Additionally, this is what I see when I open the XML file:
