I feel this might be an easy answer. This AEC_SPACE object I have selected won't explode, so how can I edit it?

And properties doesn't show it as a block or X-Ref.

Spaces are created by AutoCAD Architecture, not by AutoCAD. If you edit the drawing with AutoCAD Architecture, you will be able to change them. If you have only AutoCAD and are working with a team, get with your team to decide who owns what and how to work together.

If you are working alone, just want to get the job done, and are willing to destroy the AEC objects, use -exporttoautocad. (I think that is the correct hame).

The dash in the command name is important. -exporttoautocad

The command got wordwrapped poorly on my end.

@dbroad Thanks for letting me know it was from AutoCAD Architecture. I can now make changes accordingly.

Gotta hate seeing AEC objects, when I google AEC objects I'm given a list of programs. It's faster to just post and have someone recognize it .
