Hi,

I was wondering, if there is a tool of some kind, that would create a text field with field inside linked to each polygon, inside all of selected polylines. The field sould be saying the area of the field.

If anyone can help, that would be very nice.

Thank you very much.

Lukas

Welcome to the Forums

Yes. NOTE You can only do this on one polyline at a time

1. Either click on INSERT then FIELD or type FIELD at the command line.

2. The dialog box that pops up where it says FIELD CATEGORY change it to OBJECTS

3. In FIELD NAMES, choose OBJECT.

4. Where it says OBJECT TYPE to the right of that is an icon (arrow, circle and square). Click it

5. Choose ONE of the polylines.

6. You will see it has already highlighted area in PROPERTIES. You can change the FORMAT and PRECISION to what you want.

7. Click on OK and place the text where you want. Don't forget to change the text height to what you want as well
