topic PDF is missing from my layout tab in AutoCAD Forum

I have a drawing title block, which is a block with attributes, with I have saved as a Layout Template. When I create a new layout tab in an existing drawing and create it from my template the pdf, which is attached to my title block is missing. All the layers are thawed, pdfframe is set to 1, it should be there. When I execute the xref command, the pdf is missing there too, so for some reason it does not stay with the block. Anyone know what the problem is. This has been chronic and I have just worked around it by reinserting the pdf each time, which is a pain. Thanks

So XREF doesn't exactly place any content in the "titleblock", it simply references an image. If the path to that referenced image is gone, so is the image.

Is the path to the source PDF always available in all AutoCAD sessions? probably not.

If you have anything like an xref attached in a template (dwt) file the xref item will not appear when using this template to start a new drawing.

This is one shotcommming of template files.

I have tried to create templates for Project Navigator and Sheet Set Manager with an xref attached, but this will not work.

This ability should be on the wish list.
