I'm using Autocad 2014 and Microsoft office 2010 . I was able to insert the excel data link in the Autocad, but recently there is a problem with that and I see that it says: "The data link cannot be created because excel cannot be found "(attached message) .

I re-installed both Office and Autocad and both of them are 64 bit now .I don't know what else I can do to fix this problem.

Any help wold be appreciated .

Regards,

Hi,

welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!

Try to start MS-Word, insert an Excel object in the same way and then double click this table in Word ... do you get then Excel started or do you get the same error-message?

Another trial with AutoCAD: what happens if you start Excel before you try to modify the linked table in AutoCAD?

Hi,

That shows that this is not an issue with AutoCAD, something went wrong with your MS-Office installation. Or you have installed a cleaning tool going through your registry and cleaned to much.

If you have such a tool installed, remove it.

Login as admin, turn off antovirus software and re-run the MS-Office installation.

Good luck, - alfred -
