entity cannot be gripped

I was sent a model generated by software I presume. Nothing can be gripped. Where do I round up the usual suspect?

Hi,

If an object can be selected but not gripped in most cases the object

is placed on a locked layer ==> unlock the layer
is a proxy object ==> check which proxy and see if there is an object enabler available.

If nothing helps let us at least know which type of object that is.

Show us the DWG file with the object in it.

Q1) Just a "stupid" question : we are speaking about a DWG (or DXF) file, I presume ?

Q2) Coming from AutoCAD 20xx or coming from an OTHER CAD program ?

Called the sender. He said this is a bundled XREF for review so it cannot be gripped. The drawing is too big to be uploaded. Yes. It is a dwg file.
