Hi,

>> I have recently downloaded and installed autocad on an old windows xp computer

>> and for some reason it will not load

The installer will not load or was the installation finished (without errors?) and AutoCAD didn't start.

When you show the screenshot from another system with another AutoCAD release we don't see where exactly the loader stops.

When you look to the task manager ... what processor load has the ACAD.EXE process or the installer process?

When you look to the task bar ... how many windows has AutoCAD (or the installer) open (e.g. is there a second window asking for activation?)

The installation went smoothly, I used a browser download and everything installed properly. When I open AutoCAD it starts and it shows the loading screen for hours and never opens. In the task manager there are applications running, but the processes show acad.exe. It has only one window open when I start it. No there is no second window.

AJ104

Hi,

>> but the processes show acad.exe

And the processor load for that process? Is it close to 0% or > 10%?

Try to:

create a new WIndows user with admin permissions

login with that account

unplug/disable network

disable antivirus software

right-click the AutoCAD-icon on the desktop and use option "start as administrator"

Does AutoCAD start then?
